The Chinese handset maker, Huawei has been in the news recently owing to the Nexus 6P, which is the first Nexus device to come with an all metal body. Moreover, the brand is also the first Chinese handset maker to launch a Nexus handset. However, the focus has now shifted from Nexus 6P to brand;s own flagship device called Huawei P9 Plus. The Internet is already abuzz with rumours surrounding the upcoming handset and a massive hype has been generated around the same. Here is an overview of the upcoming flagship for those who would like to know more about it.

Design
The design of the new Huawei P9 Plus is along the lines of Nexus 6P, which was launched under the banner of Huawei by Google. It features the same metal unibody chassis with a plastic band running atop the rear metal panel of the handset. The plastic band houses a dual camera setup along with a dual tone LED flash and a laser autofocus.
Display
Huawei has equipped the new handset with a 5.5-inch display that is designed for multimedia and gaming purpose. The display of the upcoming handset boasts of a full HD resolution viz. 1920 x 1080 pixels for enhanced viewing experience. It is expected that the display will come protected with a Corning Gorilla Glass layer.
Performance and Battery Life
Huawei has equipped the newest handset from its stable with a powerful octa-core processor that comes with a clock speed of 2.5 Ghz. The processor is assisted by a RAM of 4 GB, which is quite impressive and offers a smoother performance. There is a 3400 mAh battery under the rear panel of this smartphone that lasts longer on moderate usage.
Camera Technology
Huawei has equipped the next flagship smartphone with a dual camera setup that has primary camera pegged at 12 Megapixels. The camera of the handset is accompanied with a laser autofocus and dual tone LED flash. The front panel on the other hand will flaunt an 8 Megapixels snapper.
Connectivity
On the connectivity front, it is expected that the handset will be a dual-SIM device with support for both 4G LTE and 3G. The new handset also comes with futuristic connectivity options like NFC, Wi-Fi, Wi-fi Direct, microUSB, Bluetooth, GPS and GLONASS.
Verdict
Huawei P9 Plus will be succeeding one of the most advanced smartphone in the market and from the looks of it, the new handset looks the part. However, everything depends on the pricing of the handset and if Huawei price it just right, this will be a massive revenue churner for the brand.
