The sister brand of Micromax, YU has been an initiative from the leading handset maker to launch a series of online exclusive devices. This move from the brand was an attempt to counter competition from Chinese brands and has been successful so far. Now, the handset maker is all set to launch a powerful handset after having teased for a while that the beast is coming. This new handset is called YU Yutopia and the brand is claiming that this is the best handset they will be launching till date.
Design
The earlier devices launched by the brand were all sub – INR 10,000 handsets, which came with standard polycarbonate bar form factor. However, with new device YU is asking polycarbonate and sandstone to move aside since it comes with an all new metal body. This means that the handset will feature a unibody design, which is a first for YU.

While teasing the new handset, YU took digs upon other handset for still featuring full HD displays when the world has move on to Quad HD. YU Yutopia will come with a decently sized 5.2-inch display located on its front panel. As promised, the new devices offers a display resolution of Quad-HD viz. 2560 x 1440 pixels for a truly enhanced viewing experience. Further boosting the performance of the handset is the presence of a massive 4 GB of RAM. According to the handset manufacturer, the 3000 mAh battery of the handset is powerful enough to last a day and also supports Quick Charge.
